D.C. Madam hangs herself
I am not generally a conspiracy theorist. I like to think I am rational and do not invent conspiracies out of thin air. But this. . . hmm. A D.C. Madam hangs herself? While her death pretrial would have saved a lot more political butts, this does make you wonder.
It also begs the question. For a woman who threatened to commit suicide before returning to jail, why the hell did you run escort service that was even marginally questionable? Admittedly lucrative? Apparently even the threat of jail to those who are terrified of it is not enough to make criminals not commit the SAME crime. Maybe we do need to make punishments more scary, or give up all together for somethings, ie prostitution. Do we really think we are going to be the only states that stop the world's oldest trade, as ugly as it is? There are no conclusion in this, just more questions.
